Joyeuses Pâques!

 Happy Easter!

The night before Easter while the rest of the household was watching a film, Monika and I hid Easter eggs. I took the plastic ones my family had sent, filled with American candies, and put them every frequently visited nook in the house that I could think of: the butter box, the coffee box, the cereal box, the carrot box, the egg carton, the salad bag, the fruit bowl, the garden gloves, shoes, on top of the lamp in the hall, underneath the cover on the sofa, etc. I figured that my host family would think of me as they found the rest of the eggs over the next few years...

1. Ahhhh!!! My giant chocolate bunny!!! Thank you so much, my host family!
2. Tabea tries on the socks that came in Elise's Easter basket... and they fit!

 Preparing for Easter:

C'est la guerre!

The two, giant, monopolistic Swiss grocery stores had it out over Easter profits. The bloody battle was hidden behind the adorable masks of Easter plush and chocolate rabbits.

Painting eggs with Elise:

The most delicious, palio, cinnamen, bunny-eared muffins ever!

Sunday night we went to see the most joyful, heartwarming movie ever...
Welp! Happy Easter! Let's crucify Superman!
